Fresh. Lightly Sweet with Raspberry and Pineapple notes. Perfect for milder temps yet very intriguing when it's cooler

Journal Notes: Butterfly is the third fragrance finalized by Dragon Perfumes. We wanted a fragrance to represent transformation. The artist had created amazing images of butterflies for the label, so the challenge was to be as colorful and vibrant as the label and as delicate yet transformative as the symbolism implies.
We chose the initial structure of Neroli, Atlas Cedar and Tonquin Musk to which we added the sweet red fruit and pineapple mélanges to achieve a somewhat tropical feel. We tried various types of Vanilla trying to get a little more sweetness in the base without being gourmand (too sweet/desert like)
After reading a lot about the spiritual benefits of Palma Rosa and it's sharp woodsy we added a hefty amount to the blend. This worked to balance the sweetness and pull the feeling of Cedar closer to the heart and not so hidden in the base.
Lastly, a few other thoughts/comments about Butterfly's creation...we usually put some amount of Rose Damascone in virtually all of our scents. We also highly favor aged Dark Patchouli in small doses.
